# Your first campaign

> Connect your business, review the campaigns Hamla drafts for you, and put one live. About ten minutes.

Most marketing tools hand you a blank campaign builder. Hamla doesn't. Once you connect your business, it reads what you sell and who buys it, then drafts campaigns for you to review.

So your first campaign is less about building something and more about deciding what to keep.

<Note>
  Nothing Hamla drafts can send until you approve it. Everything starts as a draft, and going live always takes a click from you. There is no setting that changes this.
</Note>

## 1. Connect your business

Sign up at [app.hamla.io](https://app.hamla.io), then connect whatever you already use — your store, your social accounts, WhatsApp. See [What Hamla connects to](/reference/connections) for the full list.

Connect your store first if you have one. It's the connection that tells Hamla the most: your products, your customers, and what they've bought.

## 2. Let Hamla read the business

This happens on its own, right after you connect, and takes a minute or two.

Hamla looks at your products, your customers, and any campaigns already running. Then it writes you a short briefing — what's working, where the gaps are, your contact count, top categories, average order value.

Read the briefing before anything else. It's the clearest picture you'll get of what Hamla thinks is worth doing for *your* business, rather than businesses in general.

## 3. Review what it drafted

Alongside the briefing, Hamla creates **two or three draft campaigns** picked for your business specifically — using your real products, your brand name, and your actual customer data.

Open one. You'll see the whole thing: what sets it off, which channels it uses in what order, and the actual copy of every message.

Ask yourself three questions:

* **Is the trigger right?** A cart recovery campaign fires when someone abandons a cart. A win-back fires for customers who've gone quiet for 30 days. Does that match how your business works?
* **Does the copy sound like you?** Hamla writes in your language and picks up your tone from your site and products, but it's a first draft.
* **Are the channels ones you can actually send on?** Email and on-site popups work immediately. WhatsApp needs a connected number.

Change anything you like by saying so — "make the subject shorter", "drop the discount", "خلّي النبرة أبسط". Hamla edits the campaign directly; you don't hunt for the field.

## 4. Put one live

Pick the draft you're most confident in. Say **"launch this one"**.

Hamla shows you a confirmation card with what's about to happen — the campaign, the audience, the channels. It stops there and waits.

Clicking that card is what makes it live. Hamla cannot do it for you: launching, resuming, and scheduling are all blocked on its side, by design.

If you'd rather it went out later, say **"schedule this for Sunday morning"** and you'll get the same card with the time on it.

## 5. Leave it running

A live campaign works on its own. A cart recovery campaign sits there and fires whenever someone abandons a cart — you don't send it, it just runs.

Come back and ask **"how did it do?"** in a few days. Hamla reads the numbers and tells you what happened, and will raise it with you unprompted if something breaks or a metric drops.
