What you need
- Nothing to connect, and no website. A form is a page Hamla hosts for you
- A phone or a laptop to build it on
- Ten minutes
Build it
Go to Contacts → Links and start a new one. Hamla asks what the form is for and lays out a sensible starting point, which you then change.
Then add your questions. Eight kinds are available: name, phone, email, a short answer, a long answer, a single choice from a list you write, a date, and a budget.
Ask for less than you want to know. Every extra question costs you submissions. Name and one way to reach them is the floor; everything else should earn its place. You can learn the rest in the conversation that follows.
The same form, different businesses
Publish and share it
Publishing gives you a link on the Hamla domain —hamla.io/f/your-form — which works anywhere: an Instagram bio, a WhatsApp reply, an email signature, a printed card.
You also get a QR code card you can print. If you have more than one branch set up, print one per branch: the branch rides along in the code, so a scan records which place that person came from. That is what later lets you build an audience of people who have actually visited one branch. See Build audiences.
What a submission becomes
This is the part worth understanding, because it decides what you can do next. The moment someone submits:- They become a contact. Name, email and phone land on their record, matched to an existing contact if you already know them
- They get tagged. Every submission is tagged
Hamla Form. Any question you choose to tag by adds its own — a “which treatment” answer of whitening can become the tagtreatment:whitening - The submission fires an event, which a campaign can start from
Then hand it to Hamla
From here it is all asks.Whenever someone submits my form, send them a confirmation straight away and a follow-up the next day
Segment everyone tagged treatment:whitening and send them the whitening offer
